Stick Out Your Pinkies

Back in June. Tea time with Mina.

Rose Chai Tea

Chicken and Apple Sandwiches.

I love it when my food is aesthetically pleasing. And when the venue is good looking too.
The above mentioned sandwiches? Strange combo? Yes, it was. Tasty? Yes, indeed!!

I wanted to steal those lovely mugs...

June flashback

Just thinking back to the start of summer... The month of June was full of graduations and meeting friends. I was about a month into my summer break then.

A picture of people being taken

Graduations are always so cheesy but they are memorable!
Oh, and you should have seen the emotions on the faces of people graduating who graduated. All smiles... quite simply put.

The Travelling Jacket - Part II

Late May: Upon finishing my last paper of the spring semester, I packed some things and visited my dear friend, Mina, up in Davis. Now I've been to Davis once before but I don't think I've really seen it like this...

Proof? Sort of like the obligatory tourist photo. Plus the travelling jacket makes an appearance.

A card a few friends and I wrote a few years ago which Mina still keeps. How sweet!

Clean buses... how I wish Muni was like this.

Just had to stop to take a photo of this little guy.

A cow-car in cow-town!

Davis is such a cute little town.

Lunch at Thai Canteen with friends.

One thing- when I first boarded the bus I thought it was funny that the box where you normally would put your money in looked like a donation box.

Davis has that "college town" feel indeed. Downtown is right next to campus so if you fancy a break from eating "college" food, it is convenient. Shops aren't quite comparable to the big city but there are shops for "light shopping". Whatever that means. It's also a bike friendly city but difficult to get around if you don't bike or have a car. The buses are student-run and I love how it only costs $1 to ride; free with student ID but... bus service stops too early. I didn't smell cow scat either from the couple days I was there so I don't know what you people are talking about. Maybe I just was not quite in the right neighborhood.

It is a very cute town though.
