So far...

God, I love summer. I never want it to end.

Days usually start out overcast here but by the afternoon it is so lovely. These are the days where I choose to take my bike out to enjoy the sunshine all while running errands or even to ride out to the beach to read a book and take a glorious nap. The best part about everything? It's hot enough to wear shorts and dresses!

Still the place where I always seem to go back is the couch at home. Call me a lazy bum but the couch is where everything's at! Kidding. What I'm really referring to is my laptop. I do almost everything on it. There's Netflix, Youtube, Blogger, Google... anything relating to homework, I go on the macbook. Want to watch a movie? I go on the macbook. Want to watch the olympics? I'm on my macbook. I even google writing ideas and tutorials on my macbook. Computers are truly one great invention.

Secret Journals

I really did want to watch a movie on Netflix but changed my mind and went to bed. Turns out my body clock is not used to the early bedtime so now I'm up writing. Okay technically typing.

I am not going to lie; it's been about a week since I've read and that in itself has led to nothing being typed up in regards to the memoir. Somehow to me if I'm not reading, I'm not typing any words. Reading opens up the mind and provides inspiration, if I can put it at that.

Location, location

Santa Cruz. This is where I have been for the past month. I decided this was a good place for me to enjoy the second half of my summer and where I could also focus on personal projects. Below is also the couch that I love to sit on (I don't have one myself and miss having one) and where I work on putting thoughts into words.

A couple things to note:
  • the fish pillow sprawled across the couch isn't mine
  • the bear fur on the left (borrowed) is something I love to put over me when I am awaken early in the morning by a certain athlete
  • the hot sauce on the table is from last night's dinner when I remembered I love hot sauce over my chicken and rice.

It's beach time. I'm bringing my book, paper and a pen all the while trying to also even out my tan. Hopefully more inspiring ideas will come to me.

The Traveling Jacket

The end of summer is upon us, my friends. Let us reminisce. Back in late May when I just out for summer, I immediately put on my green parka jacket and filled up a week's worth of catching up with friends. On this day, I met up with Laura for ice cream and a trip to City Lights Bookstore.
